UNEP Projects: PIMS

Programme Information and Management System (PIMS) was created with the intention of supporting the functional needs of the entire UNEP Programme of Work cycle. Since its launch in 2009, PIMS has contributed to the improvement of programme delivery in the organization. It supports the planning process, guiding the way in which UNEP plans its future programming and allocates resources in a more strategic manner, taking into account lessons learned and good practices.

Please note that the project information as shown is as was approved at the beginning of the project.

Natural Resources

Indicators on resource use and emissions help monitor patterns and rates of resource use and efficiency in countries. This data is intended to help governments understand how economic growth patterns influence resource use; evaluate the impacts of policies adopted in the past; and develop effective strategies to improve resource efficiency through targeted SCP policies and actions.

The database below enables users to search the Materials domain using the Search box on the right. To download datasets click on Download dataset. To chart the data, click on the Chart option available in all rows. The dataset is based on international data sources.

Inclusive Wealth Index

The inclusive wealth index measures the wealth of nations by carrying out a comprehensive analysis of a country’s productive base. That is, it measures all of the assets from which human well-being is derived, including manufactured, human and natural capital. In this, it measures a nation’s capacity to create and maintain human well-being over time. An inclusive approach to calculating wealth opens the spectrum of how we measure success, and reflects our common desire for health and well-being across generations.
